I am senior management professional, Civil Engineer and an Army veteran with 37 years of diverse proven skills in construction Project and Contract management, Administration, handling legal and arbitration cases, disaster management and above all leadership. My initial experience as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers ( up to Colonel ) was of military engineering ( handling of explosives, construction of prefabricated buildings, water supply schemes etc), operations, logistics and administration, in extremely remote and difficult areas in India and abroad.
During the last ten years, I have held the appointment of Chief Engineering Military Engineering Services, Public Works Dept and Ministry of Defence, VP of a manufacturing company and Head of Training of RICS ,S. Asia.
I have the experience of successfully managing construction projects as Chief Engineer in three most difficult areas of India- Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar islands. Apart from my basic qualification of Civil Engineering, I have formal qualifications of MBA and PGD ip in Personnel management and Industrial relations.
I have cross functional experience of administration security, logistics, construction management and contracts due to my varied tenures in Army, MES, Ministry of Defence and PWD. I have extensively studied FIDIC and construction laws of various countries across the world and am presently doing Doctoral research in solutions for delayed payments in Indian construction industry. I am passionate about learning and writing and have contributed professional articles for various journals.
