Mr. Prashant Srivastava is a distinguished Electrical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from AIMA, New Delhi. With over 47 years of rich experience, Mr. Srivastava has devoted his career to advancing safety, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility in the industrial sector. His vast journey spans roles in reputed companies like Larsen & Toubro, Usha Martin Black, Lohia Machines, and SAMTEL, where he held senior positions in Projects, Maintenance, and General Management.
A prolific trainer and consultant, Mr. Srivastava has conducted more than 100 specialized training programs on Electrical Safety and Engineering across India and abroad. His clientele includes NTPC, Toyota Motors, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco, Vedanta, ONGC, Essar, SAIL, and several Middle Eastern corporations. - The training starts with core concepts like HIRA, HAZOP, and the science behind shocks, arc flashes, and static charges. You’ll learn how different currents affect shock severity and how to apply protection systems like RCDs, PPE, and grounding effectively.
- Arc Flash safety is a key highlight, covering incident energy calculations, arc boundaries, PPE, and mitigation strategies like arc detection relays and arc-resistant switchgear, all aligned with NFPA 70E standards.
- The course also addresses lightning protection, surge devices, grounding techniques, hazardous area classification, and battery safety across various types like Li-ion and Lead Acid.
- It concludes with modules on electrical fire prevention, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), breaker racking, and self-audits—equipping you to identify issues, take prompt action, and improve workplace safety.
