With over five decades of experience, including 15 years in senior leadership, Dr. G. H. Thanki is a globally recognized authority in corrosion management and asset integrity. He has led the GSFC Research Centre, served as Member Secretary of the GSFC Science Foundation, and provided consultancy to international organizations such as the World Bank, Krupp-VDM GmbH, Outokumpu, and Cormon Ltd.
A pioneer in corrosion control, Dr. Thanki has developed innovative programs including real-time corrosion monitoring, MOC life cycle cost analysis, and optimized industrial water treatment solutions. His expertise spans audits, laboratory and field testing, and advisory services across industries like Fertilizer, Pharmaceutical, Power, Hydrocarbon Processing, and Hydrometallurgy, benefiting numerous Indian and international corporations.
An eminent educator and thought leader, he has authored 65+ technical papers, initiated the PG Diploma in Corrosion Technology at M.S. University of Baroda, and trained over 80 corporate clients globally.
