You Cannot Miss This Event
In construction and infrastructure projects, most disputes arise not during execution but from poor tender interpretation, weak negotiations, and loosely drafted contracts. This programme directly addresses these root causes by equipping participants with practical, real-world skills that protect commercial interests from the very beginning. You cannot afford to miss this programme if you are involved in high-value EPC or infrastructure contracts, are responsible for safeguarding margins and managing commercial risk, want to prevent claims instead of reacting to them, or need greater confidence when negotiating with powerful counterparties. This is not academic training—it is a hands-on, experience-driven programme that demonstrates how contracts actually behave under stress, during delays, variations, and disputes, ensuring that what is agreed on paper works effectively on site.

Course Agenda
- The programme begins with an in-depth focus on tendering strategy and risk management, equipping participants to read and interpret tender documents like a claims expert. It covers identifying hidden commercial and contractual risks, understanding employer intent, managing qualifications and deviations, and developing effective pricing strategies for both EPC and item-rate contracts. Participants will learn how risk is allocated at the bid stage and how early decisions directly impact profitability, claims exposure, and project outcomes.
- The second part of the programme concentrates on negotiation and advanced contract drafting, linking contract language to real on-site behaviour. It addresses pre-award and post-award negotiation techniques, negotiation psychology, handling power imbalance, and claim-oriented negotiations. This is followed by clause-by-clause insights into drafting and reviewing critical provisions such as EOT, price variation, liquidated damages, limitation of liability, payment, termination, and dispute resolution, aligned with FIDIC, CPWD, NEC, and bespoke EPC contracts—supported by practical case studies from live infrastructure projects.
